What folks are saying....
"Do you want to partner with a magnificent/magical teacher, guide, and companion who is passionate about learning and leading from a place of humility and compassion? Krista is the one! Her offerings are profound and transformative. I have experienced her generosity in connecting with the woods (forest bathing), sacred singing and playing instruments to the water (creek drinking), and working with nature elements to support grieving. Her books, talismans and photography have enriched my life as have her beauty, wisdom, and brilliance. Highly recommended! "

"Krista, your gentle spirit created such a safe space to enter into nature initiation. You made me want to lie on the earth and dance by the fire, to drink the rain and walk in the breeze."

Krista Nelson is an ecotherapist, flutist, and Lenape language teacher and storyteller whose work centers transition, grief, and renewal.
Her offerings are informed by Lenape ways of knowing, which understand land as relational, alive, and responsive.
Krista guides individuals and groups through threshold experiences using somatic practice, ritual, expressive arts, and nature-based connection.
As a Lenape language teacher, I understand language as more than words—it is relationship, memory, and responsibility. When I teach Lenape, I am not only sharing vocabulary or pronunciation; I am inviting people into a way of listening that honors land, story, and interconnected life.
My teaching is rooted in oral tradition. I use story, sound, and music because this is how knowledge has always been carried—through voice, breath, and presence. By weaving Lenape language with traditional storytelling and Native American flute, I create spaces where learners can feel the language as alive and relational rather than historical or distant.
This work is an act of continuity. Each time Lenape is spoken aloud, especially in educational spaces, it affirms that our language and ways of knowing are still here, still teaching, and still relevant to how we care for one another and the land today.
Creek Drinking is taking sips with our ears.
"Creek Drinking is taking sips of the water with our ears. We listen and respond with the music of our own making. This is how we show appreciation for water. First we witness. Then we show gratitude."

In her recent talk From Grieving to Grounding, hosted by the Organization of Nature Evolutionairies, Krista outlined an earth-element and sensory-perception path for generational healing: honor loss, receive love, make love.
