As a descendant of the Lenape, living on ancestral Lenape land,
learning to speak the Lenape language that is native to this land,
I feel compelled to rekindle the Lenape tradition of interconnectedness in the manner that is natural for me at this time.
Speaking in the native language of this land to the natural elements of fire, water, air, earth, and space is my way of revitalizing Lenape culture, honoring my Indigenous lineage, healing my African American experience, and making a small contribution to the health of the planet.
This is my body of work.
This is what I am here to do at this time.
Before nature was a mother, she was a lover.
From Grief —  to Love — to Love Making
At last the love in my life and the love in my heart are agreed and aggrieving this ever-passing precious moment. Up from the ground. Out of the ash. I arrive as treasure, as light, as water, as spaciousness, and breath…
this time, with you.
